It simply means we are a community of people completely committed to the widespread deployment of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), while being the industry leader in AED-related resources & information. From the moment you enter our site, we hope you’ll be able to tell that something is different about AEDpeople.com. We’re all familiar with the lines about “The customer is always right" and "We put the customer first” so we won’t bore you with more of the same. Here is our promise: We will serve our customers in the way we would want to be served. For us, this is a whole lot more than a catchy marketing slogan, it’s a commitment rooted in the depths of our worldview and our company culture.

  • Public Access Defibrillators (PAD)
  • First Responder / Manual Mode Defibrillators

A Public Access Defibrillator is essentially ANY AED designed for use by untrained individuals and suited for a variety of public environments and applications. You can find information and features specific to each group below. Most people will find themselves in the PAD group. Put simply, ANY AED within the PAD group could potentially be a good fit for your application. Since all AEDs are approved by the American Heart Association (AHA) and the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), choosing an AED is really just a matter of evaluating: pricing, features and available accessories. If you prefer to shop for AEDs by industry we’ve identified four main industries and features that we feel will be beneficial for each below:

Our Goals

Educate - Equip - Transform

Educate

We strive to be an unbiased educational resource to our customers. We’ve learned that most customers really don’t want or need someone to promote a brand-specific agenda for any one company. In fact, most of our customers greatly appreciate it when we simply educate and explain . For this reason AEDpeople.com is not a representative of any one specific defibrillator manufacturer. We do not have a brand-specific agenda to push. We’ve evaluated the different brands of AEDs just like you, and we know each AED inside and out. All AEDs we sell are FDA Approved and all AEDs can save lives!

Equip

Over the years our customers have always appreciated our efforts to equip them to save lives. We believe that the only thing more important than deploying an AED is having a program in place that will enable you to save someone’s life when the moment of truth arrives. This is where we stand apart from other companies…we will not just sell you an AED. Our goal is that you will have an effective AED Program in place that will reflect the importance of your investment…and we offer several comprehensive AED programs powered by PlusTrac to help you do just that. Developing an AED program and investing in AEDs is not the end. In fact, it is just the beginning. The real value and benefit of your investment may be realized one day…in a life-saving situation. We are committed to helping save lives, and strive to be a long-term resource for our customers.

Transform

There are two numbers that serve as the fuel for our company purpose and ultimately instill a desire within our customers to get involved: 325,000 and 40,000.

  • 325,000- According to the American Heart Association 325,000 people will die this year alone due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest. That’s a big number. Every 97 seconds someone dies from a Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
  • 40,000 - The American Heart Association has estimated that 40,000 lives could be saved EACH year if AEDs were more widely available in the US – equivalent to a cure for breast cancer.

Our goal is to transform the national survival rate of Sudden Cardiac Arrest through the widespread deployment of life-saving Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
